The Bonecutter family has resided in the area long before it was even called Ohio. Over 225 years ago, a Hessian soldier named Harmon Knochenhauer migrated to the area after the revolutionary war before changing his name to John Bonecutter. The original sir name roughly translates to “Bone Cutter” and was named for a guild of German butchers that originated in the 13th century.
Today, the Bonecutter family still lives in Ohio and has called Morrow County their home for over 20 years, with both their children attending Highland schools. They have a passion for helping Morrow County, especially the village of Chesterville whose historic charm enticed them to make Morrow County their home.
